While this may be true, we believe your child will need a little bit of help when it comes time to wean the child. 1.  When a child continues to drink from a bottle, they will have a bigger chance of having tooth decay because bottles are not good for the development of the child’s teeth.
2.  When you feed a child from a bottle when the child should have been weaned, it will only interfere with the child’s nutritional needs. The child will not be getting enough of the solid foods.
3.  Many say it is even more difficult if you wait to wean an older child from a bottle.
4.  Washing bottles is no fun and after time they will collect a lot of germs, especially if your child takes the bottle everywhere.
When you have successfully weaned your child from the bottle, they will still need about sixteen to twenty-four ounces of milk each day.
