Time to Wean Baby

When you have a baby, time will go by so fast and it will not feel like time has gone by at all. In no time, you will be introducing your baby to the solid foods. It is advised that you wait until the baby is between four and six months of age before you start to feed them solid foods.

Time to Wean Baby

This process is called weaning the baby and it is something that all babies have to go through and parents will have to do. By the time the baby has reached six months old, they have the tongue extrusion reflex. The babies’ digestive system has also matured and is now able to break down solid foods.
When you have your baby, you should be patient and enjoy you first couple of months by bottle-feeding your baby. Soon enough, you will be experiencing the messy job of weaning the baby.  When it comes time to wean your baby, it can be exciting to introduce those new foods to your baby. However, the baby may spit out every single bit of it when you try to feed the food to them or they will make funny faces.  When you first start to feed your baby solid foods, you should make sure they are sitting up in an upright position. You should invest in a high chair, because it will stop a lot of messes from forming. You should not use a metal spoon; they make infant plastic spoons that will fit right inside your baby’s mouth.
