Start Weaning Your Baby

When it comes time to turn your baby to solid foods, your baby may complain about it, but you have to do it because it is healthy for your baby. If you keep your baby on the bottle when they shouldn’t be on the bottle, then they could get over weight because they will not be getting all of the nutrition from the milk that they need at that age. Sure, milk is rich in nutrients, but it is not enough.
You could start by introducing your baby to solid foods by offering a little meal at lunchtime. Do these for around three weeks before you show them another meal? The next meal you introduce to your baby should be breakfast. Follow the breakfast, lunch solid food routine for a couple of weeks, then start to introduce your child to three meals a day. By the time you child has reached the age of six months, if you started weaning when your baby was four months, then your child will be on the right track with three meals a day and snacks in between. When your baby is seven months of age, you can reward them at the end of the meal with some pudding. When you start weaning, you should introduce your child with vegetables, you can mix them in with the rice cereal.
